A rematch of Superbowl XXXIX pits two teams poised and positioned for the playoffs. The Eagles have been on fire under there new coach and have made a strong move closing in on the Washigton Redskins. The Patriots sit atop the AFC EAST but need to keep an eye out on the surging Jets, who under new coach Gatorsin09 sit only 1 game back.

Last min strike to Curtis, proves to be the difference
In a game they had no business being in the Eagles once again found a way to get it done and improve to 7-1 under their new coach. 5 turnovers should have cost them this game, but luckily it didnt. The defense held NE to 4 FG's. Down 14-0 b4 you could blink the eagles did not panic and kept to the gameplan. 3 picks in the 1st quarter almost did the eagles in, but they scored to make it 14-7 after 1.And found themselves down 20-7 late in the 1st half when they forced NE to punt with 20 sec remaining. Sheppard returned the punt all the way but was ruled to have stepped out at the 5. 2 plays later Smith caught a floater from Mcnabb to make it 20-14 at the break.

Defense reigned in the 3rd only pats getting 3 and leading 23-14 into the 4th. Pats extend lead to 26-14 with 4:35 remaining. But 51 sec later Mcnabb found Brown who caught the ball and a made a quick move to get free and scored. Pats get a first down and then on a 3rd and 12 brady finds welker at the sticks, he gets hit and fumbles. Pats recover however 1 yd shy of first down so they elect to punt. Eagles start by running get 9.5 yards. On second down they gain an inch, but mcnabb scrambles in the hurry up to get everyone lined up. NE thinking he will run to get an inch play press coverage, mcnabb rolls out and see's curtis streaking and fires one deep and its caught for a 63yd TD pass with just over a min remaining. Fail on 2pt attempt.

Pats turn the ball over on downs and one kneel ends the game. 27-26 final

this was a classic game, good game to rebel, the madden gods let me down with a fumble after getting a first down on a 3rd and 7 with 2 mins to go in the game, had Welker held onto the ball, first down, i could have run more clock maybe even run it out. but the madden gods may have given me a int or 2 too, so be it. the Eagles are a class act. enjoyed the game and thats the most important thing.
